Who this is for, and who it isn't.
£12 a month is not much, but a wasted evening is. Here is how to tell before you spend one.
It earns its keep if
- You have at least one holding your tracker makes you type in by hand every month.
- You have opened two platforms' apps in a row to work out what you are worth.
- You care about the difference between an ISA, a SIPP and a general account.
- You have foreign-currency holdings and cannot tell how much of last year was the dollar.
- You are working out whether what you have will last.
Probably not for you if
- Everything sits in one ISA at one platform; your provider's own page is enough.
- You trade daily, or trade options.
- You want stock tips or a screener. Verdemar describes what you own; it does not recommend.
- You live outside the UK and need the after-tax figures.
- You are not willing to spend an evening getting your history in. It is the one genuine cost.
And what happens if you stop.
If you cancel

We do not lock your own records away to make leaving expensive.
